Day 01: Wednesday - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station, you will be accorded with a warm traditional welcome. Board the Palace on Wheels at 17:45 hrs, and depart Delhi for Jaipur. Enjoy a delicious dinner on board the train. Overnight will be on board the train.
Day 02: Thursday - Jaipur
Arrival: 02:00 A.M, Departure 19:30 P.M
On your arrival at Jaipur, you will be greeted with Shehnai recitation and beautifully decorated elephants. After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. An air-conditioned coach will take you to the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and the Amber Fort, where you will enjoy an exciting elephant ride up to the Fort. Later enjoy shopping for exquisite handicrafts, jewelry, carpets, blue pottery and dyed fabrics in the colorful bazaars of Jaipur.
Have your lunch at the famous Rambagh Palace Hotel, and then visit Jantar Mantar- the royal observatory and the City Palace. Evening, return to the Palace on Wheels, and we start for Jaisalmer. Dinner and overnight onboard the train.
Day 03: Friday - Jaisalmer
Arrival: 08:15 A.M., Departure 23: 00 P.M.
Popularly referred to as the 'Golden City of Rajasthan', Jaisalmer is known for its Golden Fort and Havelis (mansions). See the Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon-ki-Haveli, Nathmalji-ki-Haveli and Salim Singh-ki-Haveli. Later, enjoy shopping at Rajasthali for pattu shawls, mirror work, embroidered articles, wooden boxes, silver jewelry and exquisite curios.
Return to Palace On Wheels for lunch, and then proceed to the enchanting Sam Sand Dunes in the heart of the Thar Desert. Enjoy a thrilling camel ride on Sam Dunes. Evening, have your dinner at a hotel in Jaisalmer with a colorful cultural program. Return to the Palace on Wheels, and we start for Jodhpur. Overnight stay onboard the train.
Day 04: Saturday - Jodhpur
Arrival: 07: 00 A.M., Departure 15: 30 P.M.
Morning arrival at Jodhpur, the second largest cities of Rajasthan, encompassed by a high stonewall with seven gates and several bastions. See the famous Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and Phool Mahal etc. Have lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, and then return to Palace On Wheels for Sawai Madhopur. Dinner and overnight onboard the train.
Day 05: Sunday - Sawai Madhopur
Arrival: 04: 00 A.M., Departure: 10:30 A.M.
Early morning arrival at Sawai Madhopur, and transfer to Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy an exciting jeep safari in the lush forests of Ranthambore for Tiger Tracking, and Game Viewing. Also visit the 10th century Ranthambore Fort. Return to the Palace On Wheels and start for Chittorgarh.
Day 05: Sunday - Chittorgarh
Arrival: 16.00 P.M.
Chittorgarh is the city of Rajput pride, bravery and sacrifice. Besieged thrice, the massive 7th century Chittorgarh Fort has witnessed fierce battles between far superior enemies and brave Rajput warriors, who died while fighting to protect the dignity of the land. See the Chittorgarh Fort and other attractions inside the fort complex. Return to the Palace On Wheels. Dinner and overnight onboard the train.
Day 06: Monday - Udaipur
Departure: 20.00 P.M.
Travel to the beautiful lake city of Udaipur by a luxury coach. Situated amidst breathtaking surroundings of three beautiful lakes, Udaipur is famous for its lovely lake palaces and temples. See the beautiful Lake Palace and the Jag Mandir, which appear to rise from the crystal blue waters of Lake Pichola. Have lunch at Lake Palace Hotel. Evening return to Chittorgarh to board Palace On Wheels. Dinner and overnight onboard the train.
Day 07: Tuesday - Bharatpur
Arrival: 06: 30 A.M. Departure: 11: 45 A.M
Arrive at Bharatpur, early in the morning. After breakfast onboard, visit the famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, popularly referred to as the "Ornithologist Paradise". See a variety of colorful birds, including the world-famous Siberian Cranes, who visit the park during winters. Return to the Palace on Wheels, and then start for Agra.
Day 07: Tuesday - Agra
Arrival: 14.30 P.M., Departure: 23.00 P.M.
On way to Agra, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the 16th century historical town built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. See the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world, the Jama Mosque and the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, a famous Sufi saint of India.
Arrive at Agra and proceed to see the world-renowned Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. A beautiful monument symbolizing the everlasting love of a king and queen, Taj Mahal is built in white marble by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal after her death in 1631 AD. Evening, return to the Palace On Wheels for dinner and then start for Delhi. Overnight stay onboard the train.
Day 08: Wednesday - Delhi
Arrival: 06: 00 A.M.
Palace On Wheels Train arrives at Delhi Railway Station at 6:00 A.M. Have breakfast on board the train and disembark it with sweet memories of your North India Train Tour.
